SS101 is SquatBox Gym’s signature strength training beginner program, consisting of 10 consecutive weeks of 2 training days per week, for a total of 20 personal training sessions.
SS101 is not only the perfect beginner’s workout; it is also a great option for anyone who has limited time to spend in the gym, but still understands the benefits of strength training in addition to their existing workout routines such as cycling, running, or yoga.
SS101 focuses on the 6 major movement patterns, while teaching you the techniques to safely master the 5 major barbell lifts that make up the SquatBox Gym Method. Strength trainers Rudy Mettia and Jennifer Ellis will coach you towards building skill sets and muscle endurance. At SquatBox Santa Monica, we train you to work towards your goals while preventing injuries.

SS101 will prepare you for the next level of the SquatBox strength training program, which involves more complex and advanced weight training.
SS202 consists of 10 consecutive weeks of 3 training days per week (30 sessions) with slightly more complex programming and greater work volume versus the SS101 program that trains just twice a week.
Clients who qualify for SS202 will have either graduated from the SS101 program, or have already gained enough experience in another compatible strength training method that they may be able to step right in and handle the more high intensity strength training and additional workload of the SS202 level program.
SS202 represents the sweet spot at SquatBox Gym for experienced athletes who may have been out for a while but are now ready to restart and advance their training. Muscle memory is a valuable tool for those coming back after an injury.
Benefits: In our experience, the SS202 weight training program will allow you to realize 85-90% of your genetic strength potential. To realize that last 10-15%, the complexity of the program must be increased, and rest and recovery outside of the gym will become even more critical. Working through the SquatBox Gym SS202 program gives you the opportunity to enter the 90th percentile of athletes in your age group. In other words, you’re going to stand out in a crowd of your peers.
The SquatBox Gym Master program trains 4 times per week for 10 weeks (40 sessions). This is a personal training program for advanced athletes or those who have successfully completed the SS202 program. SSM is the best strength training program for athletes who are preparing to compete in their chosen strength sports such as: Cross Fit, weightlifting, or powerlifting. SquatBox Gym Master program also works well for professional or college athletes during their off seasons.
